MATCH WITH EIU MOVED TO BE PLAYED AT CARROLL STADIUM

Jaguars will now host Eastern Illinois at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 25)

Live Stats

INDIANAPOLIS - Due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions in Charleston, the IUPUI men's soccer team will now host Eastern Illinois (3-7-5) on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 25) at 2:00 p.m. at the on-campus Carroll Stadium. Admission will be FREE and open to the public.

Those planning to attend are asked to park in the visitors' garages on campus as standard parking rates will apply.

The Jaguars (0-12-1) have played well of late, but still been unable to get on the winning side of the ledger. On Sunday, IUPUI outshot Green Bay 10-8, but yielded goals in each half in a 2-0 Horizon League defeat. Before that, the Jaguars played SIUE to a scoreless draw in a midweek tilt in Edwardsville. In that match, redshirt freshman Michael Buck delivered his first career shutout in goal, facing a 23-shot onslaught.

IUPUI has been blanked in three straight dating back to the 1-0 loss to Belmont on Oct. 15. In that match, the visiting Bruins scored early on a mishandled corner kick to account for the day's only offense.

Senior Uriel Macias has a team-high two goals from his forward spot while sophomore Alan Aguilar has a team-best two assists. In goal, Buck has a 1.56 goals against average with 25 saves in his eight starts.

QUOTABLE: "I'll give our student-athletes a tremendous amount of credit, regardless of where the results have been this season, they continue to fight, they continue to show resiliency and they continue to show the ability to bounce back from adversity. It's just those final pieces of execution that haven't come together for us," head coach Brian Barnett said after Sunday's loss to Green Bay.

SENIOR SNAPSHOT: Senior Harold Agyeman-Prempeh and Macias were honored prior to Sunday's match with Green Bay as part of Senior Day festivities. Agyeman-Prempeh made his 37th career appearance and 36th career start in that contest. The native of England was voted Academic All-Summit League in 2015 before missing all of last season due to injury. Macias made his 49th career appearance and 41st career start on Sunday. The Indiana-native has 13 career goals and four assists in his four seasons. He was the 2014 Summit League Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Summit after finishing that season with seven goals and three game-winners.

JAGS IN THE COMMUNITY: Barnett and the Jaguars began a season-long partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools on Friday (Oct. 20), visiting a local school as part of the 'Real Men Read' mentoring program. In addition, IUPUI team members took part in the annual IUPUI Day of Caring on Saturday (Oct. 21), working primarily with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, planting trees throughout the day.

FORMER JAG EARNS MLS SPOT: After a long uphill climb, former IUPUI goalkeeper Eduardo Cortes recently inked a deal with the MLS FC Dallas as the team's third goalkeeper. He has yet to make his MLS debut, training as the team's third in line.

SCOUTING EASTERN ILLINOIS: Former league foe Eastern Illinois comes in with a 3-7-5 record and 1-5-2 mark away from home. Amazingly, the Panthers have played eight overtime matches this season, going 1-2-5 in extra periods. Federico Verlicchi has a team-high two goals for EIU while Yann Nsoga has two assists. In goal, Mike Novotny has been brilliant, registering a 0.81 GAA and 78 saves in his 15 appearances. He's recorded six shutouts this season

INSIDE THE SERIES: IUPUI leads the all-time series 6-4-4 as the teams began playing one another in 1999. IUPUI won last year's meeting, 1-0, in Indianapolis. IUPUI is 5-1-1 in the seven games played in Indianapolis.

UP NEXT: IUPUI will take on Milwaukee in Horizon League play on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
