INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's soccer team will take on Northern Illinois on Wednesday night (Sept. 28) at 7:00 p.m. at the on-campus Michael A. Carroll Stadium. Wednesday's match will be broadcast on IUPUI LIVE! on IUPUIJags.com as Greg Rakestraw (pxp) describes the action.
IUPUI students are admitted for FREE with a valid JagTag. Adult tickets are just $5 at the gate.

Josh Gray has started six of the team's seven matches in goal and has a 3.00 goals against average and 33 saves. Redshirt freshman
James Mitchison made the other start and has four saves on the year.Â
  Sophomore back
Ben Thornton leads the team in minutes played, having played all 630 thus far. Fellow sophomore
Nick Anderson is second among field players with 504 minutes and
Jordan Parron is third with 483 minutes. All total, 17 different Jaguars have started at least one match this season and Anderson and Thornton are the only two to have started all six thus far.Â
SCOUTING NORTHERN ILLINOIS (1-4-2 overall, 1-2-2 away)
  Northern Illinois is 1-4-2 on the year, but recently stopped a six-game winless streak to start the year with a 2-1 win at Milwaukee last week. Kevin Rodriguez leads the Huskies with a pair of goals and Richard Hall has a goal and an assist, including the game-winner against Milwaukee.Â
   Drew Donnally has played every second in goal and posted a 1.75 goals against average and 25 saves in seven starts.Â
   Collectively, NIU has been outscored 13-4 and outshot 84-63 for the season.Â
INSIDE THE SERIES
   IUPUI is 3-2 all-time in the series against Northern Illinois, which began in 1999. The Jags won meetings in 1999, 2003 and 2004, but lost the last two meetings in 2008 and last season.
   The Jags are 1-0 at home against the Huskies, having won 1-0 in 2004.
   NIU won last year's meeting 2-0 in DeKalb, tallying goals in the 18th and 27th minutes. Gray played the final 16-plus minutes in goal and made a pair of saves.

LAST TIME OUT
  IUPUI fell in its Summit League opener, 2-0 to Western Illinois on Sept. 23 at Carroll Stadium. The visiting Leathernecks tallied goals in the 32nd and 53rd minutes and outshot the Jaguars 15-7 overall and 5-2 on frame in both teams league opener.
