INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IUPUI gets set to host Bowling Green on Saturday (Oct. 10) with kickoff set for Noon at Michael A. Carroll Stadium. The Jags come into Saturday's match following a 4-0 loss to Indiana on Wednesday.
Summit League LifeArguably the toughest zero-win team in the nation, IUPUI (0-6-4) is all but out when it comes to Summit League play.
Through ten games, they've seen five losses come by just one goal. They've played to four draws, two against ranked conference opponents, including at No. 8 Denver in the altitude and No. 23 Omaha at home.
The Jags are very much alive in the Summit League table at 0-0-2, having gained two points through two conference matches against the conference's two ranked teams. They currently rest at the center of the table (two points).
Facing the FalconsIUPUI gears up for another non-conference battle with BGSU before resuming Summit League play next week.
The Falcons (6-5-0) come to Indy in the midst of a four-game losing streak, including losses to Dayton, Michigan State, Northern Illinois and Ohio State. BGSU's last win came against IPFW on Sept. 18. It the last time the Falcons found the net as they've been shutout in the last four contests.
The Falcons are liable to either get shutout or blow teams away. Four of their five losses have been shutouts while five of their six wins have been three- or four-goal victories.
The Falcons's biggest offensive weapons are a pair of juniors from Naperville, Ill., Pat Flynn and Joe Sullivan. Flynn leads the Falcons in goals this season with nine while Sullivan has netted five of his own.
Game TimeSaturday's match is Professor Appreciation Day at Michael A. Carroll Stadium. Professors who attend the match will be be honored during the game. Kickoff is set for Noon. Admission is free but standard IUPUI parking rates may apply.
