Carroll Stadium at 7:00 p.m.. The Jaguars will cap the two-game weekend at Western Illinois on Sunday, playing the Fighting Leathernecks at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
Admission to Friday's match is free of charge although standard university parking rates will apply.
IUPUI (5-5-2, 0-1-1 Summit) comes in seeking its first win of the league season after opening with a draw against Fort Wayne and dropping a 2-1 double overtime count at Omaha.
FIVE AND COUNTINGSophomore
Krissy Kirkhoff has continued to terrorize opponents, scoring goals in a school record five straight games. Kirkhoff leads the squad with eight goals and has a school record seven assists already this season. She's also attempted a team-high 55 shots, putting 24 on frame.
MISS ASSISTSenior Kalli Shepler-Tucker moved into a tie for the program's all-time lead in assists at Omaha (Oct. 9), delivering a through ball to Kirkhoff for the Jaguars' lone score. It was her first assist of the season and 15th of her collegiate career. 70 CLUBSenior Lauren Kulaga made her 70th career start at Omaha (Oct. 9), becoming the sixth player in school history to hit that number. In doing so, she joined Margaret Allgeier (78), Karrie Reising (73), Katrina McCrory (71), Anna Pigg (70) and Kara Conger (70). FIRST TIMERSFreshman Becca Spitalniak became the most recent player to net her first career goal this season, tallying the game-winner at Marian on Sept. 18. She becomes the fourth Jaguar to score her first career goal this season, joining sophomores Leia Peterman and Beth Parks and Kulaga.FOR STARTERSIUPUI has had 17 different players start at least two matches this season, although seven have started all 12 matches. Injuries have played a major role in the patchwork starting lineups as expected starter Sierra Bryant suffered a season-ending injury in the third match of the season and another expected starter, Catherine Raster, missed the first month due to injury. ACADEMIC HONORSFor the seventh straight year, the IUPUI women's soccer team earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award on Sept. 23. Teams with a 3.0 GPA or greater are recognized nationally for their achievements.  NEWBIESNine different players have made their IUPUI debuts this season, with a combination of two Division-I transfers, two redshirt freshman and five true freshmen. SCOUTING THE JAGUARSIUPUI is 5-5-2 on the season and 2-2-2 at Carroll Stadium. Kirkhoff and Minnich have led the attack, combining to score 14 of the team's 21 goals and attempt 79 of the squad's 158 shots. Kirkhoff (8 goals, 7 assists) has become one of the league's top targets, while Minnich (6 goals, 3 game-winners) has been clutch in her scoring ability. Sophomore Hayley Shelton has turned in four assists from the midfield while senior Grace Perkowitz has two goals scored, including a game-winner.Â
Sophomore goalie Catherine Schmidt has a 1.30 goals against average and 55 saves in 12 starts. SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLESOral Roberts is 5-7-2 on the season and 1-2 in Summit League play. All total, the Golden Eagles are just 1-4-1 away from home this season. Senior forward Kayla Keller leads the ORU attack with five goals and three assists while Brittney Lawrence has five goals and an assist. Keller is one of three ORU players with a team-high three assists on the season.
In goal, Maddie Rhodes has a 1.43 goals against average and 24 saves while having started 13 times in net.
SCOUTING THE LEATHERNECKSWestern Illinois is 2-9 on the year and 1-1 in league play heading into the weekend. Brianna Hughes and Skyler Jessop lead the squad with two goals each and Tyra Markey has a team-best two assists.
Victoria Kappel has started all 11 matches in goal, posting a 2.08 goals against average and 43 saves in more than 950 minutes.
SERIES RECORDSIUPUI is just 3-11-2 all-time against Oral Roberts and hasn't beaten the Golden Eagles since 2010. The Jaguars are 2-3-1 against ORU in Indianapolis. ORU won the last meeting between the two sides by a 2-1 score in Tulsa last season.Â
IUPUI is 8-9 all-time against Western Illinois after last year's 2-1 win over the Leathernecks in Indianapolis. The Jaguars are 3-4 in the previous seven meetings in Macomb.
UP NEXTIUPUI will continue a stretch of three straight road games next weekend when the Jaguars trek to South Dakota (Oct. 23) and Denver (Oct. 30).
