GREEN BAY, Wisc. - The IU Indianapolis women's soccer team will head north to face Green Bay on Saturday (Oct. 10) for a 1:00 p.m. CT (2 Eastern) kickoff. Head coach
Angela Berry White's team is looking for a second straight road win after rallying for a 2-1 victory at Purdue Fort Wayne last weekend.
Maci Sammons and
Keilah Muldrow scored late goals, each off assists from
Annaliese Black, to give the Jags the full three points. It was Muldrow's team-high fifth goal of the season while Sammons deposited her third of the year.
Black upped her Horizon League leading total to six assists and leads the squad in total points (12). Senior
Caroline Kelley ranks tied for tops in the league in shots on goal (20) and tied for second in total shots (35). Junior back
Bethany Hartigan continues to lead the team in minutes played (1,116) as she and
Shannon Phillips are the only two Jaguars to have started all 13 matches.
Sophomore
Isabel Oferosky has taken over as the team's No. 1 goalkeeper and owns a 1.43 goals against average and 39 saves in her 10 appearances (six starts). She ranks second in the Horizon League in save percentage, stopping better than 79 percent of the shots she has faced. Behind her,
Gwen Eiler has made 20 saves in her six appearances (five starts).
QUOTABLE
"I speak all the time about the process. Road wins aren't easy in our conference - especially getting one when you're down at the half. I was impressed with our second half spirit, intensity and toughness. I'm proud of how we stepped up our game and put them under pressure - it paid off. Whether it's a practice or a game, our goal is to get better with each step," White said following the 2-1 road win at Purdue Fort Wayne on Oct. 4.
