SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The seven-match road trip to start the season for the IUPUI volleyball team wraps up this weekend when the Jaguars travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Golden Dome Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.

The two-day event begins with matches against Washington State and Western Michigan on Friday, Sept. 5, before concluding with a match against tournament host Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 6. Friday's matches are scheduled for a Noon and 5 p.m. start, respectively, while Saturday's tilt is set for 3:30 p.m.

Following a season-opening win over Toledo, the Jags have dropped three straight matches including a five-set loss on Wednesday at Valparaiso. Several Jags had impressive performances against the Crusaders with Kelly Wachtel posting 16 kills and Meredith Farkas, Kaitlyn Hickey and Alexis Mapes all recording double-doubles, but ultimately the Jaguars fell just short of evening their record.

"We did some good things against Valparaiso and corrected some of the mistakes we made the opening weekend, but we didn't make enough plays down the stretch to win on the road," head coach Steve Payne said. "It doesn't get any easier for us this weekend as we have three tough teams to play against in Washington State, Western Michigan and Notre Dame."

Both Western Michigan and Washington State come into the weekend with 2-1 records, while the Fighting Irish are 0-2 after suffering a pair of three-set losses to teams ranked in the Top 15 in the season-opening AVCA Coaches Poll.

All matches this weekend will be streamed live via www.UND.com and live stats will also be available for all matches.
