INDIANAPOLIS – Fresh off a win over Indiana Wednesday night in front of a record crowd, the IUPUI volleyball team looks to continue its winning ways this weekend when it heads to Oxford, Ohio, for the Miami Best Western Invitational.

In Oxford, the Jaguars open the tournament against tournament host Miami University at 7 p.m. on Friday, before squaring off against Ohio State and UAB at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively, on Saturday.

"We're coming off a big win against Indiana. Our girls played hard and deserved to win that match," head coach Steve Payne said. "The key this weekend will be playing with that same intensity all weekend. We are playing some really good teams this weekend and hopefully we can build off of Wednesday's win."

Miami (OH) comes into the weekend with a 5-4 record, while Ohio State and UAB are 6-3 and 3-8, respectively.

The Jags moved to 5-7 on the season following the win over Indiana. Kaitlyn Hickey is coming off a team-high 11 kills in Wednesday's win, pushing her over 900 kills for her career. While she still has a ways to go to reach 1,000 career kills, Hickey needs just 25 more digs to reach 1,000 career digs.

The Jags are 3-1 all-time against the RedHawks, 0-2 against Ohio State and 0-1 against UAB, with Saturday's match against the Blazers serving as the first meeting between the two schools since 1982.
