INDIANAPOLIS – The reigning Summit League Tournament Champion IUPUI Jaguars begin their quest for another Summit League Tournament title on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they take on No. 3 seed South Dakota at 7 p.m. at The Jungle.
The Coyotes defeated No. 6 seed Fort Wayne in the opening round on Friday behind 26 kills from Kendall Kritenbrink.
IUPUI and USD will square off just six days after competing for the regular-season title in the regular-season finale. The Jags emerged victorious in a thrilling five-setter that clinched them a share of their third straight Summit League regular-season crown with Denver.
By virtue of tiebreakers, Denver is the top seed in the tournament and it plays at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday against No. 5 seed North Dakota State, who upset No. 4 seed Oral Roberts, 3-1, in the opening match of the tournament on Friday.
The Jags are led offensively by three-time All-Summit League performer
Kaitlyn Hickey, who ranked fifth in the league in kills in conference-only matches, and back-to-back Summit League Defensive Player of the Year
Beth Howard.
Single-session passes are $8 for adults and $5 for youth ages 12 and under.
