TULSA, Okla. - The IUPUI women's soccer team will look to extend its Summit League winning streak to three when the Jaguars take on Oral Roberts at Case Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 18).
The Jaguars (4-8-3, 2-2 Summit) notched an impressive 3-1 win at Fort Wayne last Sunday to cap a perfect weekend. Sophomore
Tori Minnich scored twice and
Krissy Kirkhoff deposited the game-winner in the game's 50th minute. In the Jaguars' 2-0 win over Denver two days prior, both
Grace Perkowitz and Kirkhoff put goals away and freshman goalie
Catherine Schmidt earned her first career shutout.
Schmidt earned numerous accolades for her efforts, including Summit League Defensive Player of the Week and national recognition from College Sports Madness and College Soccer 360.
For the year, Minnich has a team-high seven goals and Kirkhoff has six scores, including two game-winners. Junior
Kalli Shepler-Tucker has a team-high four assists and both Perkowitz and
Meghan Day have three assists each.
The Jaguars have been stingy defensively in Summit League play, allowing just four goals in four games. Of those four goals, one was an own goal and other was a penalty kick in the 3-1 win at Fort Wayne. Schmidt has a 1.40 GAA and 57 saves in eight starts so far this season.
