INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Athletics Department and Head Men's Soccer Coach Isang Jacob announced the signing of eight student-athletes to join the Jaguars, beginning in the Fall 2013. The signing class along with the addition of Indiana-transfer Lance Davis at the start of the semester brings next year's crop of newcomers to nine.

Vinny Bonano (Evansville, Ind./Evansville Memorial), a 5-foot-9 left-footed midfielder earned Third Team ISCA All-State accolades this past season after starring at Evansville Memorial High School. Bonano was a starting midfielder on Memorial's 2010 state finalists squad, tallying two goals and five assists for the Tigers. This past season, he totaled 10 goals and eight assists from the midfield while helping Memorial to a 19-4 overall mark and perfect 7-0 record in league play. He was also named First Team All-City, All-Metro, All-District and All-Southern Indiana Athletic Conference, while being the boys soccer team's Kiwanis Award Winner. Bonano plays club soccer for SWISA FCE.

Cameron Knox (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central), a 5-foot-9 defender was a three-year starter at North Central High School before shifting his focus to academy play. He was a Second Team All-State and First Team All-District selection as a junior and later pegged to The Indianapolis Star's "Super Team", honoring the city's top players. He helped NCHS to a 2010 Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) crown and a Marion County and sectional title in 2011. He then chose to play for the USSDA Indiana United program. He helped the Carmel-based academy to state titles in 2007 and 2009 and is ranked among the nation's top 150 college prospects according to ESPN.com. Christian Lomeli (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest), a 5-foot-9 goalkeeper helped lead Crown Point High School to the Class 2A IHSAA State title in 2011 before ultimately finishing his education at Lake Forest (Ill.) Academy in the north suburbs of Chicago. Lomeli didn't become eligible until the first game of the Merrillville Regional, but paid immediate dividends by going 5-0 in net in the postseason with three shutouts. Crown Point won both matches at semi-state and the 2A state title match in penalty kicks with Lomeli in net. He finished the year with 0.36 goals against average and 23 saves in his five starts. Smith began playing with the Putnam Panthers before later playing for the Bloomington Cutters. He later joined the South Central Soccer Academy in the Midwest Regional League before playing for the USSDA Indiana United team in the Fall 2012.
