OMAHA, Neb. - The IUPUI women's soccer team will put a capper on the 2013 campaign this weekend when the Jaguars embark on a two-game Summit League road swing through Omaha and Vermillion, S.D.. The Jaguars will face Omaha at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Friday (Nov. 1) before then playing at South Dakota at 1 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 3).

IUPUI (4-9-4, 0-4-1 Summit) is winless in its last seven outings, going 0-6-1 during that span. The Jaguars dropped a 5-2 decision at Western Illinois last weekend, despite goals from freshmen Tori Minnich and Alyssa Fox

However, the defense has faltered since senior Kristin Pierce suffered an injury in the Sept. 29 win over Northern Iowa. Since then, the Jaguars' defense has yielded 21 goals in seven games, including three games allowing four goals or more.

Minnich leads the IUPUI attack with four goals and senior defender Sarah Carlisle has a team-high five assists from her right back position. Fox's goal against WIU was her second of the season, tying her with Taylor Heidorn and Grace Perkowitz for second on the squad in that category.

In goal, senior goalkeeper Giselle Guzman has a 1.86 goals against average in 17 starts, while recording 77 saves.

Omaha (3-9-2, 1-4 Summit) has similarly struggled to get results, dropping four-in-a-row and scoring just one goal in those contests. Melanie McCormick leads the Mavs with four goals and Monica Bosiljevac has three goals and three assists. Meaghan Clark has played every second in goal this year for UNO, notching a 1.79 GAA and 74 saves.

South Dakota (5-8-3, 0-5 Summit) has lost six straight, the last five of which have been via shutout. USD's Jamie Karch has six goals, including three game-winners, and Danielle Anderson has four goals and three assists. Mackenzie Viktor has a 1.52 GAA and 78 stops in 16 starts.

IUPUI enters the weekend 1-0 all-time against Omaha after last season's 2-1 win at Carroll Stadium. Friday's match will mark IUPUI's first-ever trip to Omaha. The Jaguars are 2-0-2 all-time against USD, having tied the Coyotes each of the past two seasons. IUPUI is 1-0-1 in the previous two matchups in South Dakota.
