INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's soccer match against Central Arkansas scheduled for Friday (Sept. 7) night at Carroll Stadium has been canceled due to rain and lightning in the immediate area. The contest will not be made up.

After what was going to be an already delayed start, both teams warmed up on the field for nearly 20 minutes before a nearby lightning sighting forced the facility to be cleared. With more inclement weather in the metropolitan area, the match was officially called off approximately 90 minutes after the intended start time.

IUPUI (1-4) will conclude the homestand on Sunday (Sept. 9) when the Jaguars host Northern Kentucky at Carroll Stadium as part of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader. The men's match will kickoff at noon and the women's match with Wright State is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.. Sunday is Military Appreciation Day and members of the IUPUI ROTC will present the colors prior to the playing of the 'Star Spangled Banner' before the men's match.
