CollegeSwimming.com Poll
SOMERS, Wis. – CollegeSwimming.com released its first Mid-Major Division I swimming rankings of the season today and the IUPUI men’s swimming and diving team was ranked 24th.
This marks the first time in the 11-year history of the poll that the Jags are ranked in the poll. The Jags accumulated 200.24 points in the first poll of the season, and are one of two Summit League teams ranked in the Mid-Major poll.
The Mid-Major Rankings serve to provide an objective point system to compare teams’ relative strength in a traditional dual meet lineup.
“It’s great for us to see our name in the rankings and it’s a good measuring stick showing us where the program is improving. We’re slowly working to where we want to be,” said head coach
Matt Bos.
The Jags have some time off before returning to the pool Nov. 30 – Dec. 2, when they host their annual House of Champions Meet at the IU Natatorium. The Jags welcome Wisconsin-Green Bay, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Ball State (Women) and Butler (Women) for the meet.
