CHARLESTON, Ill. – The IUPUI volleyball team closes a three-match road trip and plays its final road regular-season match on Tuesday when IUPUI travels to Charleston, Ill., to take on Eastern Illinois. The match is set for 8 p.m. ET.

The Jaguars are coming off a three-set win over Omaha on Friday to move to 10-3 in the Summit League. IUPUI sits in a tie for first place in the conference with Fort Wayne after the Mastodons fell at South Dakota State in five sets on Saturday.

Eastern Illinois enters the mid-week match with an 8-18 overall record and a 5-7 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference. Four Panthers players average over 2.00 kps led by Reynae Hutchinson’s 2.57 kps, and the team as a whole is hitting .190.

For the Jags last week, Kelsey Hoefer led the team in kills averaging 3.00 kps in matches against Valparaiso and Omaha, but Bethany Fogler wasn’t far behind averaging 2.88 kps while hitting at an impressive .512 clip. Additionally, Fogler led a stout Jags block averaging 1.38 bps.

The Panthers own a 4-2 lead in the all-time season series between the schools, but IUPUI has won the last two meeting after EIU captured the first four. Tuesday’s match-up will be the first since the 2003 season.
