INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's soccer team will host Western Illinois on Saturday (Oct. 20) in the 2012 home finale before paying homage to its nine-man senior class following the match. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the on-campus Michael A. Carroll Stadium and admission is free and open to the public.
IUPUI (5-8-2, 2-2 Summit) is coming off a key 2-0 road win at Oral Roberts last weekend, thrusting the Jaguars into the No. 4 spot in The Summit League standings. Freshman defender

Emile Garcia on a first half insurance goal. Freshman
Eduardo Cortes notched his fourth shutout of the year and upped his league leading save total to 86 in the process.
IUPUI senior
Kyle Hyland remains the top goal scorer in the league with eight tallies while Sass is tied for fourth in the league with four assists. Hyland is second in The Summit with 18 total points and tops in the league with 47 shot attempts.
Western Illinois (3-7-3, 1-1-2) also gained a Summit League road win last weekend, knocking off Eastern Illinois 2-1. The Fighting Leathernecks will close the regular season with four straight home matches following Saturday's contest. Nathan Bruinsma leads WIU with six points (two goals, two assists) and Charlie Bales has a team-high three assists. This season, WIU has been outscored 18-9 in 13 matches. Yves Dietrich has played every second in goal, notching 54 saves, a 1.32 goals against average and two shutouts.Â
IUPUI is 9-7-1 all-time against WIU and 8-0 in Indianapolis. The Jaguars dropped a 1-0 overtime decision a year ago in Macomb on Oct. 15.
