LAST TIME OUT
The Jaguars had a successful weekend hosting the 2011 IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational posting a 2-1 record. IUPUI opened the tournament with three-set wins over Stetson and Marshall, before falling to Eastern Michigan in the championship match.

Throughout the tournament, the Jags had several standout performances on the defensive end as Bethany Fogler set a new IUPUI record for block assists in a three-set match with nine against Marshall. The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native totaled 20 blocks for the tournament averaging out to 2.0 bps, which was good enough to earn a spot on the all-tournament team as well as pick up Summit League Defensive Player of the Week honors (full release here).

Shari Bernhardt also put together an impressive weekend defensively totaling 70 digs in three matches resulting in 7.0 dps. Included in the 70 digs, was a 33-dig outing against Eastern Michigan, which marked the first 30-plus dig performance of the season for any IUPUI player. For her work, Bernhardt also was named to the all-tournament team.
