INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's soccer team will be hosting Valparaiso on its annual "Pack the House Night" on Sept. 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Kuntz Stadium. That night, there will be free giveaways including t-shirts, hacky sacks and rally towels, while admission is free of charge. In addition, a DJ will be playing throughout the evening and Indiana Soccer, in conjunction with U.S. Youth Soccer, will be conducting a mini-clinic during halftime for youth teams in attendance as part of Youth Soccer Month.

Take the opportunity to enjoy a fun filled night centered around Division I soccer and kid friendly entertainment. IUPUI players and coaches will be signing autographs following the match as well.

On the field, IUPUI (1-3-1) is capping a season-long four-game homestand, going 1-1-1 in the previous three outings. Last Friday, the Jaguars played Eastern Illinois to a 2-2 double overtime tie behind goals from Taylor Heidorn and Chelsi McHenry. With her tally, Heidorn took over the team lead in points (5) and is second on the squad in shot attempts (13). Defensively, sophomore Kristin Haseley has emerged as IUPUI's No. 1 goalkeeper with a 1.54 goals against average and .786 save percentage.

Valpo (2-3) is keyed by fifth-year senior Casey Pedersen's two goals from her midfield position and junior Catherine Terrell has two assists in five games. In goal, Kristen Manski has played the bulk of the Crusaders' minutes, notching a 1.37 GAA and .778 save percentage.

IUPUI is 3-9-1 all-time against Valpo and has dropped six straight in the series.
