INDIANAPOLIS – On the heels of a pair of tough five-set losses to open the Summit League schedule, the IUPUI volleyball team returns to The Jungle on Tuesday, Sept. 20, to open a three-match homestand beginning with IPFW.
The Jaguars are 3-1 at home on the season and look to pick up their first conference victory of the season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Jaguars opened Summit League play in heartbreaking fashion dropping both of its road matches in five sets to South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
In each match, the Jaguars held at least a two sets to one advantage, but could not get over the hump in either occasion to pick up the win.
Additionally,
Ellyn Jones set a new career high on Friday with 16 digs against SDSU.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW enters the mid-week tilt with a 6-5 overall mark and a 0-1 Summit League record following a loss to Oakland in four sets on Saturday.
Offensively, Emily Spencer leads the Mastodon attack averaging a Summit League-best 4.15 kills per set. As a team, IPFW averages 13.49 kps, nearly 1.5 more than its opponents, but the Mastodons also average nearly six attacking errors per set resulting in a .192 team hitting percentage.
IPFW is one of five teams in the conference averaging above 2.00 bps, led by Megan Wiler’s 0.98 bps.
Tuesday’s meeting between the in-state rivals will be the 30th meeting between the schools with IPFW owning a 19-10 edge in the all-time series. The Mastodon’s have won three straight meetings in the series.
