IUPUI vs. Oakland – Live Stats | Live Video

INDIANAPOLIS – After a 0-4 start the Summit League play, the IUPUI volleyball team has reeled off four consecutive league wins and it will be in search for its fifth straight win on Tuesday, Oct. 11, when it hosts Oakland at 7 p.m. at The Jungle for its ‘Pack the House’ Night.

LAST TIME OUT
Behind a strong defensive effort and timely kills, IUPUI downed Western Illinois, 3-0, on Oct. 8, to pick up its fourth consecutive win. The victory evened the Jaguars conference record at 4-4 after starting conference play at 0-4.

The Jags hurt themselves early in set one with a host of errors, but the group slowly chipped away at its deficit until a Shari Bernhardt ace and a solo block and kill from Moriah Fair evened things at 22. From that point, two more Fair kills and kill by Bethany Fogler capped off the comeback giving IUPUI the 25-22 opening-set win.

A tight second-set ensued that saw IUPUI eke out a 25-23 win to take a 2-0 lead, before a decisive 25-20 third-set victory closed out the Leathernecks.

Kelsey Hoefer led all players with 14 kills, while Kalyse Reimbold added 13 kills en route to hitting .323. Defensively, the Jaguars tallied 64 digs highlighted by a career-high 19 digs from Fair in addition to 17 digs from Bernhardt.
