2010 IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational Website

INDIANPOLIS -- For the fifth straight season, the IUPUI volleyball team will host the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational.  The Jaguars have finished runner-up in each of the last three seasons, and the 2010 edition will see Austin Peay, DePaul, Western Michigan and Wright State visit The Jungle.

IUPUI (0-4) will look for more consistency in the tournament, which begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and concludes when the Jaguars meet Wright State at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.  In between, the Jaguars face Western Michigan (11:30 a.m., Saturday), DePaul (7:00 p.m., Saturday) and Austin Peay (12:30 p.m., Sunday).

Dana Gardner led IUPUI's attack in a 3-1 loss to Indiana State, tallying 12 kills as the Jags found better form late in the match.  

The Jaguars have tallied a 2-1 record in each of the last three years of the tournament, using the tournament as preparation for The Summit League regular season.  This year, teams from the Ohio Valley (Austin Peay), Big East (DePaul), MAC (Western Michigan) and Horizon League (Wright State) will be in attendance, giving the Jaguars an extra game in the tournament.
