EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Coming off their best season since moving to Division I, the IUPUI volleyball team will look to build on the success of a year ago when they open the 2010 season at the MSU Showcase.  The Jaguars will meet Evansville in their first match of the year at 4:30 p.m. ET from the Jenison Field House.

Last year, the Jaguars went 20-10, setting school records for winning percentage and wins in a season.  IUPUI will count on returnee Shari Bernhardt to key the Jags' stingy back row defense, while Kalyse Reimbold and Lindsey Weber will lead IUPUI's attack at the net.

Reimbold was a Second Team All-Summit selection last year, while Bernhardt finished 49th in the nation in digging in 2009.

Seniors Dana Gardner, Jessica Phelps and Lauran Thompson will be looked to throughout the season for both leadership and key points.

The Jaguars will break in several newcomers early in the year, as IUPUI replaces four starters from the 2009 squad.

The in-state match against Evansville will be IUPUI's lone match on Friday; the Jaguars will meet host Michigan State at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday and wrap up the tournament against Bowling Green at 4:30 p.m. ET.  All three matches can be followed via live stats by clicking on the above links.
