FARGO, N.D. - The IUPUI women's soccer team scored first, but was unable to sustain the lead as the Jaguars dropped a 2-1 overtime decision at North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon. NDSU's Abbey Stratton scored the game-tying goal and assisted on the game-winner in the 93rd minute.

IUPUI (6-8, 2-2 Summit) freshman Sarah Colby tallied her fourth goal of the season in the game's 29th minute. The rookie slotted a shot past NDSU starting goalkeeper Kathy Kelsey and into the right side of the net to pull even with Megan Hock for the team lead in goals scored.

The Jaguars took the lead into the half, but quickly relinquished it in the second stanza.

In the 50th minute, Stratton scored her first goal of the year when her corner kick bent past freshman goalkeeper Kristin Haseley and into the left side of the net. In the 93rd, it was Stratton's throw-in that led to Michelle Gaffaney's game-winning header, just 2:08 deep into overtime.

NDSU (7-4-3, 2-2 Summit) outshot IUPUI 15-10 for the match and 11-2 in the second half and overtime period combined.

Colby led all players with three shot attempts and Hock, Alicia Brock and Sarah Wong had two apiece.

Haseley made five saves in the loss and two NDSU goalkeepers combined to make three shots in the win. Kelsey collected two saves, but was lifted in the 57th minute due to injury. Kalani Bertsch came on in relief and made one stop while earning the win.

IUPUI will now return home for a two-game Summit League homestand, beginning on Friday night against Centenary at 7:00 p.m.. That evening, the Jaguars will wear pink jerseys in an effort to raise awareness towards the fight against breast cancer. The jerseys will be auctioned off, both online and at the match, with the funds benefiting Komen.
