INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI volleyball team will look to extend their best-ever start to a season when they host their neighbors from the northside of Indianapolis, the Butler Bulldogs.  The Jaguars and Bulldogs will start the match at 7 p.m., and IUPUIJags.com will carry both live stats and live video for the match.

IUPUI (6-1) tied for the best record in the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational, going 2-1 against Western Kentucky, Miami and Northwestern.  The Jaguars knocked off both teams that went to the 2008 NCAA Tournament in WKU and Miami.

Over the three days, IUPUI senior middle hitter Monica Suding tallied 47 kills, including a career-high 18 in the Jaguars' 3-2 defeat of Western Kentucky.

IUPUI and Butler (6-3) met in 2008, with the Jaguars taking a hard-fought 3-2 win at Hinkle Fieldhouse.  In that match, Kalyse Reimbold emerged as a consistent outside force for the Jags, tallying 26 kills while hitting .305.  Dana Gardner was the other Jag with more than 10 kills in the match, finishing with 14.

The Jaguars, who led the nation in digs in 2008, finished the five-set marathon with 104 digs.  Three IUPUI players who had more than 10 digs in that match - Rachel Holmes (25), Shari Bernhardt (16) and #Danielle Goodnight (13) - are currently on the IUPUI roster.
