EVANSVILLE, Ind. - For the second straight season, Megan Hock scored a pair of goals against the University of Evansville to lead the Jaguars to a 2-0 victory over the Purple Aces. Last season, the rookie forward scored a goal in each half to help IUPUI upset the regionally ranked Evansville squad at Michael A. Carroll Stadium.

On Friday night, Hock scored twice in the opening 18 minutes to help pull IUPUI back to .500 on the season with the win at Black Beauty Field.

Hock did the work on her own in the game's 11th minute to notch her third career game-winner. The Greenwood-native side stepped a defender before chipping a shot over UE goalkeeper Theresa Bagby from the top of the 18 to stake IUPUI (2-2-0) to an early edge.

Less than seven minutes later, a fancy passing sequence led the Jaguars to an insurance score en route to its second straight win. Freshman Lisa Thomas made a long run down the middle of the field before hitting Chelsi McHenry with a feed. McHenry played the ball off to Hock on the left side, who rolled a shot into the net for her ninth career tally. For Thomas, it was her second assist in as many games while McHenry earned her first helper in an IUPUI uniform.

IUPUI outshot UE 17-13 overall and 8-3 on frame. Senior Jamie Farrell made three saves to run her scoreless stretch to 183:32. Hock led the IUPUI attack with four shots while Katrina McCrory and Thomas tried two each.

Bagby made two first half saves before Chaviel Harrison made four second half stops in net for the Purple Aces.

UE's Kristen Davis matched Hock with four shot attempts for game-high honors.

IUPUI's continues its string of meetings with in-state foes as Head Coach Chris Johnson's squad travels to Terre Haute, Ind. to take on Indiana State on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m..
