INDIANAPOLIS -- Playing their sixth of eight consecutive matches at The Jungle, the IUPUI volleyball team will look for their third straight win over Ball State when the teams meet Tuesday night at 7 p.m.. IUPUI has won four of their first five matches at home while starting the season a school-record 8-1.
IUPUI (8-1) enters tonight's match boasting another Summit League Player of the Week, as
Rachel Holmes took home Defensive Player of the Week honors. Holmes joins
Danielle Goodnight as the Jaguars to receive Summit League recognition this season.
The Jaguars have won three straight matches at The Jungle since their loss to Northwestern on Sept. 5; IUPUI has taken down foes from three different conferences - the MAC (Miami), Horizon League (Butler) and The Summit League (Western Illinois) - in the last nine days and will be looking for their second win over a Mid-American Conference opponent this season.

alyse Reimbold# has been IUPUI's top attacker, racking up 107 kills for a 3.24 kills-per-set average. Goodnight has set the Jaguars offense to a .205 attack percentage this season, while leading the team with a .329 hitting mark herself.
Defensively, Shari Bernhardt leads the team with a 4.45 digs-per-set average, while Ashley Johnson is the program's top blocker averaging 0.68 blocks per set.
After a slow start to the season, Ball State (5-4) has gone 5-1 record in the month of September. The Cardinals went 2-1 at the Active Ankle Challenge (Sept. 4-5) while going a perfect 3-0 at the Best Western ISU Classic (Sept. 11-12), defeating Chicago State (3-0; 25-8, 25-10, 25-12), Eastern Illinois (3-0; 25-14, 25-22, 25-17) and host Indiana State (3-0; 25-19, 25-18, 25-20) to capture its first tournament title since the 2005 Georgetown Hoya Classic.
