INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI volleyball team will look to start their Summit League season equally as well as their non-conference season when they host Western Illinois at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to Jam the Jungle as part of Super Jaguars Weekend presented by Indiana Members Credit Union.
IUPUI (7-1) endured a five-set victory over Butler on Wednesday, coming back from a 2-1 deficit to capture the final two sets and improve upon their season-best start to 2009. A balanced attack pushed the Jaguars past the Bulldogs, as three Jags had 10 or more kills, while five IUPUI players posted 10 or more kills.
The Jaguars lead the all-time series over Western Illinois (2-7), 14-9, including a sweep of the series a year ago.
As part of 'Jam the Jungle', t-shirt and other giveaways will be provided by IMCU throughout the night on Saturday.
Tickets are just $2 for adults and children under 12 will be admitted for free. Like always, IUPUI students will be admitted for free with a valid JagTag. For more information on Super Jaguars Weekend,
