INDIANAPOLIS -- Returning to the friendly confines of The Jungle after four straight five-set matches on the road, the IUPUI volleyball team will take on former Mid-Continent Conference foe Valparaiso Tuesday night.  The match will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

IUPUI (14-7) holds an 8-2 non-conference record and a 2-1 mark against non-conference foes from the state of Indiana.  Valparaiso (15-6) has gone 7-5 in non-conference play and holds a 1-0 mark against non-conference opponents from the Hoosier State.  The two teams have played three common opponents to date in the 2009 season - Centenary, Butler and Indiana State.  Both IUPUI and Valpo are 3-0 against their common opponents.

The Jaguars have split their last 10 matches on the year, alternating wins and losses over their last four Summit League matches.  Last weekend, IUPUI held on for a close five-set win at Southern Utah before squandering a 2-0 lead at UMKC in a 3-2 loss.

For IUPUI, Danielle Goodnight sits 223 assists shy of the school record with eight matches remaining.  If Goodnight maintains her current pace of 9.50 assists per set, she would break the record in IUPUI's final match of the season.

Valparaiso comes to The Jungle winners of seven straight matches, only two of which have come on the road.  The Crusaders hold a 17-12 series lead over the Jaguars, which dates back to the schools' time in the Mid-Continent Confence (currently The Summit League).
