FARGO, N.D. -- Coming off their worst loss in conference play, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to rebound when they take on North Dakota State Monday night.  Tip-off from the Bison Sports Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and can be seen on IUPUI Live!

IUPUI (7-8, 2-2 Summit) fell below .500 for the first time in the 2008-09 season with their 96-49 loss at South Dakota State on Saturday evening.  The Jaguars were without senior Jernisha Cann, whose streak of 80 consecutive games played came to an end when she sat out with an injury.  Cann leads the Jaguars with 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

Against SDSU, Julia Whitted posted her second consecutive double-double with a team-high 14 points and 11 rebounds.  In her last two games, Whitted is averaging 17.5 points and 11.0 rebounds.

North Dakota State (6-7, 4-1 Summit) has vaulted into a tie atop The Summit League standings with wins in four of their first five conference clashes.  The Bison have been without their leading scorer, Abby Plucker, over the last four games, but have won their last two games, defeating IPFW and Western Illinois in the last five days.

Last year, the teams split their two meetings, with each team defending their home court.  The Jaguars took a 59-54 win over NDSU on Jan. 14, 2008, with Nicole James leading the Jags with 17 points.  Whitted chipped in 16 points to help IUPUI build a 29-19 halftime lead and hold on for the victory.

On Feb. 9, 2008, it was North Dakota State who held on for a 65-60 win over the Jaguars at the Bison Sports Arena.  Whitted had 18 in the loss, while James scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
