EXHIBIT ON IUPUI ATHLETICS OPENS AT UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

INDIANAPOLIS - The history of athletics at IUPUI is the focus of a new exhibit now open at the IUPUI University Library. From Intramurals to the NCAA: Sports at IUPUI traces the growth of athletics from competition on campus among student teams through the early years of the intercollegiate athletics program as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to recent successes as a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Other topics include national and international sporting events held on campus as well as community fundraising events, such as Race for the Cure.

The exhibit will be on display through the end of 2005 in the Ruth Lilly Special Collections and Archives, located in Room UL 0133 on the library's Lower Level. The exhibit may be viewed on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 AM to 8 PM.
