INDIANAPOLIS - Senior
Brad Wheeler was the top collegiate finisher in the 5,000 meter run at the Gerald England Invitational hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. The four-time First Team All-Conference cross country performer crossed the finish line at Key Stadium in a time of 15:20.35, finishing third overall.
After a scary collapse at the IU Relays in early February, Wheeler has since returned to form, trimming 11 seconds off his 5,000 meter time from two weeks ago.
Both running unattached, Aziz Atmoni won the race in a time of 14:47.75 and John Poray took second at 14:49.28.

Jesse Cacy was seventh at 15:59.11. Freshman
Joe Hoffman rounded out IUPUI's group of four runners in a time of 16:01.12, finishing eighth of 24 competitors.
Wheeler will next compete at the Stanford relays on Apr. 4 and the entire team is slated to compete at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational on Apr. 12.
