INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI head cross country coach Scott Williams announced the signing of Ricky Warren to a National Letter of Intent to join the Jaguars in 2008. He becomes the Jaguars’ fourth signee for the upcoming season.

Warren was named Second Team Class 3A-4A All-State this past season by the Indiana Association of Track & Cross Country Coaches. He helped Franklin Community High School to sectional and regional crowns and a spot in the IHSAA state meet in 2007. Individually he finished 26th at the state meet while Franklin finished fifth overall his senior year.

Warren was an Honorable Mention All-State pick in 2005 and 2006.

He helped Franklin finish second in the sectional both his sophomore and junior years while finishing in the top five in both meets. He was also a top 10 finisher at the Franklin Central Regional Meet in 2006.

He joins Adam Gloyeske, Brad Gloyeske and Andy Wilson in Williams’ current recruiting class.

The Jaguars are coming off a third-place finish in The Summit League in 2007, headlined by four-time First Team All-Conference runner Brad Wheeler. In all, Williams’ squad loses two letterwinners in all from this year’s squad.
