Savage was IUPUI’s top finisher at Saturday’s John McNichols Invitational, placing 41st overall in a time of 25:20.9 against a field that featured six top-25 teams and four teams ranked among the nation’s top-10. His time was the quickest 8K by an IUPUI runner this season as he helped IUPUI finish eighth overall among the 21-team field. It marked the first time this season that Savage was IUPUI’s top finisher.
