Eastman is currently on staff at The Academy Volleyball Club Indianapolis as head coach of the 14-1s team and as the master coach for then 14s regional program.
Eastman has spent the last four years coaching NCAA women’s volleyball at the division I and division III levels. He recently served as an assistant coach with Johns Hopkins University where he helped lead the Blue Jays to an 9th straight Centennial Conference title and a sweet sixteen appearance in the NCAA DIII Women’s volleyball tournament. The Blue Jays went 27-5 with a home record of 17-1. Eastman oversaw the service plan and offensive distribution of opponents.
Before Johns Hopkins, Eastman served as a graduate assistant at Valparaiso University for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Eastman assisted in leading the Beacons to a collective record of 36-29 across the two seasons including an NIVC first round appearance in 2023 and a quarterfinal appearance in the 2024 Missouri Valley volleyball tournament. Eastman oversaw the service plan and offensive distribution of opponents. He also oversaw the training of liberos and defensive specialists.Â
Eastman’s NCAA coaching career started in 2022 when he served as a volunteer assistant coach at UMBC. Eastman helped lead the Retrievers to a 5th straight America East volleyball title and a first-round appearance in the 2022 NCAA Division I volleyball tournament against #11 Penn State. At UMBC, Eastman oversaw the statistical analysis for the team using DataVolley4.
Eastman was a starting middle blocker for the UMBC Men's club volleyball team in the 2019/2020 season. He later returned to coach the team from 2021 to 2023.
