Indiana-native Brittney Cope joined the IUPUI Athletics Department in September 2015 as Assistant Director of Compliance and will work with all 18 varsity sports. Cope comes to IUPUI from Middle Tennessee State where she spent one year as a compliance assistant.
Cope brings a wide range of athletics background to IUPUI, having worked in the athletic departments at Marian University, the University of Indianapolis, Indiana University, Valparaiso and MTSU.
Cope earned her Bachelor of Science in sport performance from Marian in 2012, while also working in the sports information office for all four years. She also completed an internship at UIndy during her senior year, working primarily in compliance.
She earned her Master of Science in Sports Management and Athletic Administration from Indiana University in 2013, while also working with media relations, ticketing and academic services over the course of a year.
She later served as Compliance Assistant at Valpo where she was in charge of rules education, monitoring and reporting and administrative tasks. She served a similar role at Middle Tennessee State before coming to IUPUI at the start of the 2015-16 athletic year.
