Former IUPUI standout Amairany Cruz will serve as a volunteer assistant on head coach Antonio McDaniel's staff. She was a four-time All-Horizon League performer in indoor and outdoor track her final two seasons, after also earning All-Summit League honors in the distance medley relay as a sophomore in 2017. 

She finished her IUPUI career as the program's career record holder in the 400, 800, 4x400 and DMR on the indoor track. She also holds the school records for the 400, 800 and 4x400 on the outdoor track.
