2015-16 (Junior): Finished with a overall 7-17 singles record... went 3-3 in singles Summit League play... went on a two-game doubles winning streak with partner Valeriia Lavrenchuk... selected to The Summit League's Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence... named to The Summit League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or better).

2013-14 (Freshman): Finished with a 5-12 record across the top four spots including a 5-2 record at No. 4 singles ... won four consecutive singles matches all in straight sets to finish the regular season ... compiled 4-2 singles record in conference play, all at the No. 4 singles spot ... won two doubles matches at the No. 2 doubles spot with Rachael Bridegroom ... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List both semesters ... named to the Winter/Spring Summit League Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time all-state (2011-13) and four-time all-conference performer at Evansville Memorial High School.

PERSONAL: Born on November 15, 1994 in Evansville, Indiana. Daughter of Steve Swartwood and Lisane Swartwood. Has one sister, Brigitte, who is also on the team. Her mom is a tennis coach, specifically works with junior development.
In juniors, she grew up playing in the CITA (Central Indiana Tennis Association), and the Midwest. She played tennis for her high school team and won a state championship her junior year, and a second place title in state her sophomore year.
 
Who is your favorite athlete: Roger Federer.
 
Why did you choose to come to IUPUI? I chose to come to IUPUI because it is a cool campus and I instantly loved the girls on the team. Brigitte had a large impact on why i chose to come here. Brigitte asked me if I had considered IUPUI. At that time it hadn't even crossed my mind, but since we are close and I take her opinion seriously, I gave it a look. It had always been on the top of her list. When I came on the visit, I loved the team. I also liked the downtown location of the university and all the opportunities they had to offer. So Brigitte really was my reason for choosing IUPUI. Most people would think she came here because of me, but really it's the opposite!
 
What are your hobbies? I enjoy hanging out with my friends in my free time. I am a history junkie. I really enjoy watching the history channel in secret. I also am very interested in politics and bettering my community. 
 
Interesting Fact: I held an internship with Congressman Bucshon (IN8-R0 in Washington D.C., and this helped me find my passion for helping better my community.
