Head coach Pawel Gajdzik and IU Indy athletics added former Jaguar Meghan Bernard to the women's tennis staff prior to the 2023-24 season. Bernard begins her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach for the Jags after playing six years of division one tennis.
Prior to her first season coaching, Bernard was invited to participate in Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) CoachUp development course.
Bernard was a five-year member of the IUPUI tennis program where she posted a team-high 15 singles points during her graduate year. She also earned 17 doubles wins at the No. 1 spot, earning Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week on February 22. During her last year with the Jags, she was named the team's Coaches Award at the 2023 Jag Awards, Horizon League All-League Second Team and Horizon League Academic All-League.
During her college career, Bernard has also helped instruct others as a tennis professional at the West Indy Racquet Club. She also served as an instructor at a Nike Tennis Camp.
