Ethan Curl joined the IUPUI swimming and diving staff as an assistant coach in August 2021. Curl joins IUPUI after spending the last season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Kentucky.
Curl was a four-year letter winner at Indiana University, specializing in distance freestyle. While at Indiana he was a member of two BigTen Conference Championship teams in 2017 and 2018. Curl was an Olympic Trials qualifier in 2016 and qualified for the World Championships Trials in 2017.
After graduation from Indiana with degree in Sport Marketing and Management, Curl spent time in the front offices of the Miami Marlins and Florida Panthers from 2018-2020. In his one year on the coaching staff at Kentucky, Curl helped the Wildcats women's team win its first SEC Championship in team history.
