Stacy (Downing) Pease has long been an integral part of the IUPUI women's soccer program and currently serves as a volunteer assistant. After stepping away from coaching, Pease rejoined the IUPUI women's soccer staff as top assistant in February 2012. She previously spent two years (2008-09) as the lead assistant on Head Coach Chris Johnson’s staff. In her first year on the Jaguars’ sidelines, IUPUI posted a school record 13 wins and captured a share of its first-ever Summit League regular season title. The following season, the Jaguars claimed the Summit League Tournament title and earned the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament while setting a new school record with 17 wins.
Pease stepped away from the coaching ranks for two years before returning to Indianapolis in 2012.
In 2014, Pease helped the Jaguars make a surprise run to a No. 2 seed in The Summit League Tournament, behind league Newcomer of the Year Krissy Kirkhoff.
IUPUI notched a school record eight shutouts and had four student-athletes earn All-Summit honors in 2008.
After originally attending Central Michigan, Pease transferred back closer to home and was a two-year letterwinner for the Jaguars from 2005-06 including being named Team MVP following her senior season.
The Carmel, Ind.-native led the Jaguars in scoring in 2005, tallying six goals and 13 points despite missing early matches due to injury. She made an impressive IUPUI debut, racking up five points in a win over Youngstown State en route to Mid-Continent Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.
She closed her senior year with two goals and three assists while splitting time in the defensive midfield and up front. That year, she helped the team to its second-best record in school history.
In the summer leading up to her senior year, Downing helped the U23 Carmel Cobras advance to the USASA Nationals in Dallas. The Cobras captured the USASA Region II crown, defeating teams from Illinois and Missouri along the way.
She holds a USSF National C License.
