Rana Hoffbauer joined the IU Indianapolis women’s soccer staff in January 2025 as the first hire by head coach Angela Berry White. Hoffbauer brings extensive coaching experience, having coached at the semi-pro, college, high school and club levels in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.
Most recently, Hoffbauer served as top assistant on the Indy Eleven W League coaching staff under Brandon Kim in 2025. Hoffbauer previously coached alongside Kim at Park Tudor High School, helping the Panthers to three sectional, two regional and two conference crowns.
Hoffbauer played in the W League, WPSL and UWSL after a standout collegiate career. She began her college career at Cincinnati State, earning Regional Player of the Year honors. She then transferred to Marian University where she still holds the single-season scoring record. A Cincinnati-native, Hoffbauer helped her youth teams to second and third-place finishes in national tournaments as a youth player.
Hoffbauer is the president and founder of the Futsal Indy Academy, which she began in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Marian University before later earning her Master’s degree in recreation and sport science from Ohio University.
