Former standout defender Margaret Allgeier joined Head Coach Chris Johnson's staff in March 2014 as a Volunteer Assistant. The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native was a four-year starter from 2008-11, including helping the Jaguars to a school record 17 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009. IUPUI also was Summit League regular season co-champs in 2008 with Allgeier anchoring the back line.
Allgeier finished her IUPUI career as the program's all-time leader in games played (79) and starts (78) and was a two-time All-Summit League selection. She was the team's Defensive MVP in both 2010 and 2011. She earned her B.S. in kinesiology and exercise science in 2012.
She's currently a corporate fitness manager at the National Institute for Fitness and Sports (NIFS) and works with Saint Francis Soccer Club in Indianapolis.
