Gina Cormier joined the IU Indy women's soccer staff in July 2025, having most recently spent the past two seasons as head coach at Arizona Christian University in Glendale, Ariz. She amassed a two-year record of 16-15-3 at ACU, including a program record 10-win campaign in her first season in 2023 and the program's first-ever berth in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) Tournament. It also marked the first time in the program's 15-year history finishing above .500 as the Firestorm went 10-5-1 in 2023.Â
Her 2023 squad went 5-2 in GSAC play and outscored opponents 31-22 for the season with a 1.38 goals against average. She began her time at ACU as an assistant coach in 2022.Â
She also served as Associate Head Coach of the United Women's Soccer FC Arizona, Head Coach of Boulder Creek High School, Head Coach for the CCV Stars and Assistant Coach of Arizona's Olympic Development Program (ODP). In 2022, Cormier led BCHS to a 15-2 record and 6A Desert Valley Championship.Â
Before her current work in Arizona, Cormier coached Sandia Prep School in Albuquerque, N.M., to three state championships and a record of 83-27-4 and was named the 2016 State Coach of the Year. In addition to the 2016 title, her teams also earned state titles in 2011 and 2017.Â
Cormier played collegiately at the University of New Mexico where she was a three-time member of the Dean's Honor Roll. She earned her bachelors in elementary education from the University of New Mexico and later added a Master's in literacy from UT-Arlington.
She holds a USSF 'B' Licsense.Â
She and her husband, Zach, have three kids- sons Tristan and Creed and daughter- Colby.
