Bryan Michel

Bryan Michel is entering his second year on Head Coach Chris Johnson's staff in 2011. He previous spent two years on staff at Bellarmine University and has also coached at Saint Mary's of the Woods. 

In year one with the Jags, Michel helped IUPUI go 8-11 overall with five different players earning some form of All-League accolades. The Jaguars' three All-Newcomer selections were tops in the league.

Michel is heavily involved with soccer in the Midwest, serving as an ODP State Head Coach and as an IYSA Coaching Education Instructor. He's also a Region II Staff Coach, working with some of the top players in the Midwest and is the Youth Technical Director with Fishers Soccer Club on the city's Northside.

Michel's club coaching experience dates back to 2008 when he was with the Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club. He implemented the first-ever U9 and U10 Academies in the state of Kentucky and increased overall club participation by nearly 14 percent over a two-year stretch. He later added free programming and an education series for parents and instituted an email communication flow via Constant Contact. 

Michel starred at Hanover College where he was a four-year team captain and three-time All-Conference selection. He later played on the Indiana State men's club team while working on his Master's degree. He prepped at Heritage Hills High School and was a three-year team captain. He was also a three-year member of the Indiana '82 ODP team and competed with the Owensboro United S.C. from 1994-00. 

He earned his M.S. in Physical Education (Coaching) and earned his USSF "A" license in the Spring of 2011. He also holds a National Youth license and NSCAA State and Regional GK licenses.
