Former IUPUI standout Lauren (Kuss) Cramer rejoined the Jaguars' program in August 2014 as top assistant of the women's golf program. Cramer was a four-year letterwinner for the Jaguars from 2008-13, including serving as team captain her senior season. She finished her college career ranked second on IUPUI's all-time list in rounds played (99) and fourth in career stroke average (81.26).Â
Entering her sixth season in 2019, Cramer has helped the women's program to back-to-back Horizon League titles in 2017 and 2018, collecting the program's only NCAA Regional appearances in program history. The Jaguars have boasted three Horizon League Players of the Year in the past two seasons and virtually rewritten the program's record books in the process.Â
Cramer remains competitive as a player too, having finished second at the 2018 IWGA State Amateur with a 54-hole 219 (75-73-71) at Hillview Country Club.Â
As a student-athlete, Cramer had a banner senior season, earning Second Team All-Summit League honors while leading the team and ranking fifth in the league with a 78.86 scoring average. She earned top-10 finishes in seven of her 12 tournament entries, including winning the Butler Spring Invitational at nearby Prestwick Country Club. It was her second career tournament win after she had previously captured the Loyola Invitational in April 2009.Â
Cramer earned her B.A. in Geology/Earth Science from IUPUI in 2013, while she also was an active member of the university's Geology Club.Â
After graduation, she served as assistant professional at Kenwood Golf & Country Club in Bethesda, Md., and she's since worked as assistant pro at nearby Riverside Golf Course in Indianapolis. Cramer also worked as a demo representative for Callaway for two summers while attending IUPUI.Â
She and her husband Kyle are proud parents to a daughter, Julia.Â
