Amber Lindgren

Amber Lindgren joined the IUPUI Women’s Golf program at the start of the 2009 season, and is in year number two as the top assistant under Head Coach John Andrews.

Her first year with the program saw post the best team scoring average in school history (330.83) and Jordan Woods and Kristi O’Brien record the top two single-season scoring averages in IUPUI history. Woods, a transfer from Minnesota, became the first-ever Jaguar to notch a scoring average under 80 for a season. The Jaguars .422 winning percentage was the second-highest in school history.

Lindgren was a member of the Indiana University Women’s Golf team from 2005-2009, serving as the team’s captain from 2008-2009. She earned Academic All Big Ten honors from 2005-2009 and was a member of the most improved Indiana University Women’s Golf Team from 2006-2007. She also received the Coaches Award from 2007-2009 and the Hoosier Heart Award for the team from 2007-2008.

Lindgren is a graduate of IU where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in May 2009.

She worked as a sales associate at the Chippendale Golf Club in Kokomo, Ind. from May 2003-August 2006. Lindgren also served as an intern from May 2008-August 2008 at Wolf Run Golf Club. Currently, she serves as an instructor at Wood Wind Golf Academy in Westfield, Ind. where she helps develop women and junior interest in the game.
A native of Kokomo, Ind., Lindgren is a graduate of Western High School.
