Victoria Lipscomb

Victoria Lipscomb was named assistant coach in July 2016. Following the 2017-2018 season, she was promoted to second assistant and is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach under Head Coach Austin Parkinson. In addition to her coaching duties, Lipscomb handles day-to-day team scheduling, player development and academic tracking.  
 
In three seasons in Indianapolis, Lipscomb has helped the Jaguars to a 66-31 overall record with three-straight 20 win seasons and WNIT appearances.
 
Prior to her arrival at IUPUI, Lipscomb served as a Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University from 2014-16. The Spartans posted a 41-24 record and earned a berth in the NCAA tournament with Lipscomb on the staff. She worked closely with the post players as well as coordinated the team managers and scout team. She gained valuable experience creating scouting reports, analyzing game film and game preparation. 
 
In 2014, Lipscomb was selected for the “So You Want to be a Coach Program” sponsored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
 
Lipscomb was a four-year letter winner and three-year captain at Oakland University from 2009-2014. She was named a five-time All-Academic selection (4 - Summit League; 1 Horizon League). She finished her career ranked seventh in program history in assists (363) and 11th in steals (192). She set the Oakland record for minutes played in a game (58) in 2012, during a four-overtime game against Western Michigan. In 2014, Lipscomb also competed as part of the Oakland University Track & Field team, earning Horizon League honors in the 4x100m relay.
 
A native of Lansing, Mich., Lipscomb earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in public relations from Oakland University in 2013. She went on to receive her master’s degree in communication from Oakland University in April 2016 and a master’s degree in sports administration from Michigan State University in May 2016.
