2012-13: Earned the department's Mel Garland Distinguished Student-Athlete Award, given annually to the top performing senior student-athlete... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List (3.0 GPA or better) both semesters.
2011-12: An All-Summit League performer … placed third in the three-meter dive at the Summit League Championships and added another third-place showing in the one-meter with a score of 276.20 … scored a 320.62 in a tri-meet on Feb. 4, moving him into sixth on IUPUI’s Top 10 chart … tied for the team lead with seven first-place showings and also registered double-digit podium finishes with 10 ... named to the IUPUI Academic Advisors List for the fall and spring semesters ... earned a spot on the Summit League Academic Distinguished Scholar's List for the winter/spring ... named to the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.
2010-11: After tying for third in the preliminaries of the 3-meter dive, a score of 265.95 in the finals secured a solo third-place finish at the conference meet to secure all-league plaudits … also added a fourth-place showing in the one-meter dive compiling a five-dive score of 245.95 … finished the campaign with 12 total podiums, including seven first-place finishes.
High School: 2009 second-team all-state selection in 2009 placing in the Top-8 at the IHSAA state meet … also an all-state and all-conference academic selection … also a 2009 second-team all-state honoree in tennis.
Personal: Born September 6, 1990 … son of Gary and Lisa Gauger … both father Gary and mother Lisa were all-conference performers in football and swimming, respectively, at Wisconsin-Oshkosh … majoring in business management.
