2010-11: Swam the opening leg of the 800 freestyle relay squad that set a new school record with a mark of 7:05.18 at the Summit League Championships … part of the 400 medley relay team that posted the seventh-best time in program history at the Summit League Championships with 3:33.67 … scored points for IUPUI in each of his three individual events -- the 200 IM, 100 backstroke, and 200 backstroke -- at the league championships … time of 52.77 in the 100 backstroke marked the third-fastest time in school history en route to a 14th-place showing … his 200 backstroke mark of 1:55.01 moved him into seventh in school history in the event … also placed 14th in the 200 IM with a time of 1:58.30, but recorded the third-fastest time in program history in the prelims clocking in at 1:57.64 … tallied 20 podium finishes on the year, including 13 wins … his 13 wins catapulted him to 44 for his career making him IUPUI’s all-time wins leader … concluded his four-year stint third in Jaguars history with 72 career podium finishes ... earned a spot on The Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.

2008-09:  Picked up from where he left off after his freshman season, tallying 22 podiums his sophomore year ... Tied teammate Tyler McGowan for the team lead in podiums ... Finished the year with 13 first-place finishes to go along with five runner-up results and four third-place tallies ... Swam three personal bests at The Summit League Championships, including a 53.73 in the 100 back and a 1:55.23 in the 200 back ... His mark in the 200 back is the 6th-quickest in IUPUI history, while Steurer's 100 back time is the 13th-fastest in the school record book ... His 21 race wins are seventh in Jaguar history, while his 38 podiums are 13th overall ... Named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List for both the fall and spring semesters ... Earned Academic All-Summit League honors, as well as a spot on The Summit League Commissioner's List for Academic Excellence.

2007-08:  Compiled a remarkable freshman season, finishing the year with 16 podium finishes, including eight race wins ... Eight wins tied for 17th in IUPUI men's swimming and diving history ... Swam the 10th-quickest 200 backstroke in school history, touching the wall in 1:56.62, doing so at The Summit League Championships ... Named to the IUPUI Academic Advisor's List in both the fall and spring semesters ... Earned Academic All-Summit honors.
