Stephen Woodward enters his first season on Head Coach Isang Jacob's men's soccer staff in 2011, serving as the goalkeepers coach. Woodward, who played and coached with Jacob, served as the goalkeeping coach for the Ball State women's team last season.

Before that, he spent two years at Marian University training the goalkeepers. While there, starting keeper James Dulhanty set a single-season record with 131 saves and earned Second Team All-Mid-Central Conference accolades. 

Woodward's coaching career began as the associate head coach/goalkeeper coach at Warren Central High School. His club coaching experience includes working with the Indy Burn of the Pike Youth Soccer Club and serving as Director of Goalkeeping for the Screaming Eagles Soccer Camp. 

He currently holds a USSF National D License, NSCAA Advanced Regional License, NSCAA National Goalkeeping License and USSF National Youth License.

He graduated from IUPUI in 2010 while majoring in clinical psychology and minoring in mathematics. He's currently pursuing a graduate degree at Ball State in Sport and Exercise Psychology.
