Paul Cuevas joined the IU Indianapolis men's soccer coaching staff in August 2025, just ahead of the start of the season. Cuevas joins the Jaguars from Montana State University Billings, where he served as a student-athlete, assistant coach and elevated to interim head coach in 2024. However, the MSUB men's soccer program was discontinued prior to the 2025 season, leading Cuevas to Indianapolis.Â
Cuevas piloted the Yellowjackets to a 6-6-6 record in his lone season as head coach, including a 5-4-3 record in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. Cuevas was top assistant at MSUB for two seasons from 2022-23 on the heels of a successful playing career.Â
The Yakima, Wash.-native also has previous involvement as a coach with Billings United, including leading his '05 boys group to a second-place finish at the USYS National Presidents Cup.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Cuevas played five seasons of college soccer. He spent his first two seasons at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Wash., before finishing at MSUB. He was a three-year letterwinner in the MSUB midfield, playing 33 games with 25 total starts. He totaled four goals and a pair of assists in his MSUB career while graduating with a degree in history and a minor in physical education.
